Abergavenny
A famous vibrant Welsh Market town situated in South
Wales at the northwest end of the County of Monmouthshire,
formerly Gwent. The town nestles between the edge of
the "Welsh Valleys" to the West, The Black
Mountains to the northeast and the Brecon Beacons to
the northwest with the "flat lands" spreading
out to the southeast towards the Severn Estuary and
Gloucestershire. Cross the River Usk to the west of
Abergavenny, the impressive valleys of South Wales are
linked by the Heads of the Valleys road (A465) and have
much to tell of the country's heritage.
